One of the most magical parts of childhood is the stories we tell—and who we tell them to. At StoryMii, we’ve discovered something powerful: when kids create and read stories written by other kids, their engagement, empathy, and creativity skyrocket.

This wasn’t just a theory. As founders, Nancy and Ryan built StoryMii because we saw firsthand how much our own children lit up when they shared a silly story or heartfelt thought—and another child responded with a laugh, a favorite, or even their own story in return. Whether it was about poop-loving pirates or navigating grief and loneliness, what mattered most was that their voice was heard.

Every story shared on our platform is created by a child and visible to other children. While we celebrate creativity in all its forms, divisive material or inappropriate themes for a young audience are removed from final production to ensure the platform remains safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate. We still embrace silly, imaginative content—so yes, stories about goofy monsters or wild poop adventures are welcome—as long as the message is uplifting and the environment stays inclusive.
